Overview
The ArrayFindKeyName function locates a specified key name and returns the corresponding index position for the array.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
int = ArrayFindKeyName ( variable name, string key, [int axis] );
Parameters
name
A name of a variable, which must be an array.
key
A string specifying the key to find.
axis
An optional int specifying the axis to search. The following are possible values:
| Define | Value | Description |
| AXIS_X/AXIS_ROW | 0 | X dimension (rows) |
| AXIS_Y/AXIS_COL | 1 | Y dimension (columns) |
| AXIS_Z | 2 | Z dimension |
The default value is AXIS_X.
Return Value
Returns an int specifying the index position of the key or -1 if the key is not found or on failure. Use the GetLastError function to retrieve error information.
Remarks
The search is case-sensitive.
