Overview
The ConformAddressString function converts an address line or city to upper and lower case by using internal dictionaries and special rules.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
string = ConformAddressString ( string data, [boolean force] );
Parameters
data
A string as the source data with a maximum size of 256 characters.
force
An optional boolean flag to force the function to disregard the dictionaries. If set to TRUE, the function will force the terms to upper and lower case.
Return Value
Returns a string with adjusted text case.
Remarks
This function essentially makes each word in the data string initial-caps, if forced, or matches the word to how it appears in the appropriate dictionary. Certain words, if found with a case match in the abbreviated word pronoun dictionary, are not adjusted. When adjusting a city name, always use the force option.
