Overview
The QuotedStringToString function takes a simple string encapsulated in quotes and extracts the source string.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
string = QuotedStringToString ( string source );
Parameters
source
A string containing an encapsulated data.
Return Value
Returns a string that is the extracted version of source as specified. The last error code will contain either an error or the size of the resulting string. Use the GetLastError function to retrieve the value.
Remarks
The function will remove surrounding straight quotes and converts and encoded straight quotes or backslashes.
This function differs from GetStringFromQuotes in that it will deal with internal quotes. GetStringFromQuotes is generally used to removed quotes from quoted filename paths.
Size is limited to 1mb.
