Overview
The CellAddressGetRow function converts a string containing spreadsheet-style cell address to indexed positions and returns the zero-based row value (eg, A1 is row 0, B1 is row 0).
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
int = CellAddressGetRow ( string data );
Parameters
data
A string containing a cell address sequence such as ‘BA02’. The string cannot be larger than 256 bytes.
Return Value
Returns an int containing the zero-based integer row index or -1 on failure. Use the GetLastError function to retrieve error information. The only error returned is a syntax error.
Remarks
This function converts and returns the zero-based row value (e.g., A1 is 0, B1 is 0). It can be useful for translating spreadsheet column numbers.
