Overview
The FloatToString function converts a floating point value to a string, trimming trailing zeros or forcing a specified amount of decimal places.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
string = FloatToString ( float data, [int places] );
Parameters
data
A float number to convert.
places
An optional int specifying the number of decimal places.
Return Value
Returns a string containing the converted string or empty on failure. Use the GetLastError function to retrieve error information.
Remarks
This function differs from using FormatString in that the zeros can be trimmed or the decimal places extended or truncated.
Note that the function does not round if decimal places are truncated.
