Overview
The GetTimeZoneBias function returns the computer’s local time shift as bias minutes from GMT or UTC.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
int = GetTimeZoneBias ( [string zone] );
Parameters
zone
An optional string specifying the full name of a time zone to retrieve the bias. If omitted, the local time zone is used.
Return Value
Returns an int as the number of minutes from UTC for the current locale. Returns 0 on failure. Use GetLastError or IsError to determine if an error occurred or the locale is GMT.
Remarks
The return value is in minutes and takes into account daylight savings time as required by the locale or specified zone. Note while most locales are in intervals of 60 minutes, some locales are in fractional hour values.
This function ignores a locale override for the application.
