5.15 Password Boxes

5.15.1 Overview

Password boxes provide an easy method of quickly querying a password and optional information from a user. As part of the Common Dialog set, password dialogs can be used to query a password, user and domain.

The functions do not store, manage or validate passwords. They only provide a method to query information.

All password box functions abide by the Secure Memory Model.

5.15.2 Functions

PasswordBox — Queries the user for a password.

PasswordChangeBox — Queries the user to change a password.

PasswordRememberBox — Queries the user for a password with a ‘remember’ option.

PasswordUsernameBox — Queries the user for a user name and password with optional domain.
