SetSelectClue Function

Overview

The SetSelectClue function sets the select clue for an existing select area.

Syntax/Parameters

Syntax

int = SetSelectClue ( handle hObject, int clue );

Parameters

hObject

A handle to an Edit Object or an Edit View.

clue

An int specifying the select clue code (EDO_SELECT_). See Remarks below.

Return Value

An int as ERROR_NONE (0) on success or a formatted error code.

Remarks

The clue aids the view and any associated editor function in processing and managing selected data. For example, whether an array of selected areas a series of rows, columns or cells.

Select clue codes can depend on the window type. The common codes are:

Not all windows accept edit clues.




The clue must be set after the select area is set otherwise the clue will be wiped out by the SetSelectArea function.
