Chapter NineDialog Functions (continued)

DialogSetPosition Function

Overview

The DialogSetPosition function moves the dialog to a specified screen position.

Syntax/Parameters

Syntax

int = DialogSetPosition ( int x, int y );

Parameters

x

An int specifying the left position in pixels of the window left edge.

y

An int specifying the top position in pixels of the window top edge.

Return Value

Returns an int value as ERROR_NONE or a formatted error code. Use the GetLastError function to retrieve error information.

Remarks

DialogSetPosition positions the upper left corner of the dialog frame at the specified x/y position. Values are in pixels and are oriented from the top left corner down. That is, 0/0 is the top left corner and 1920/1080 would be the bottom right on a standard HD display, although 1920/1080 would push the dialog off the screen. Negative values will position the edge of the window off screen.

By default, dialogs are centered on the screen within which the application is contained.
