Chapter Nine — Dialog Functions (continued)
Overview
The TrackbarGetBuddy function gets the handle to a specified buddy window.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
handle = TrackbarGetBuddy ( int id, int side );
Parameters
id
An int containing the control ID of a trackbar control.
side
An int specifying the side of the trackbar buddy window to retrieve. The values are: TB_SB_RIGHT, TB_SB_LEFT, TB_SB_TOP and TB_SB_BOTTOM.
Return Value
A window handle or NULL_HANDLE on failure. Use GetLastError or GetLastErrorMessage to retrieve a formatted error code or a descriptive message. Common errors include: ERROR_RANGE if id is an invalid control ID for the open dialog or ERROR_INVALID_HANDLE if no dialog is open.
Remarks
Trackbar buddy windows are automatically displayed in a location relative to the control's orientation (horizontal or vertical).
