Chapter Eleven — SGML Functions (continued)
Overview
The SGMLToString function creates a string presentation of the internal element class and returns a string with the element and attributes.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
string = SGMLToString ( handle hSGML );
Parameters
hSGML
A handle to an SGML Object.
Return Value
A string containing an SGML tag with the namespace, element and any attributes. On error, an empty string is returned. Use the GetLastError function to retrieve a formatted error code and to retrieve the number write errors.
If the function fails to write certain information, the last error will contain the count of the number of failures.
Remarks
The case of the context is based on the DTD selected for the SGML Object.
For HTML with inline CSS all the legal shorthand values are determined and created.
