Chapter Eleven — SGML Functions (continued)
Overview
The SGMLIsDataAvailable function checks the source information and returns TRUE or FALSE based on whether the value is actionable data.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
boolean = SGMLIsDataAvailable ( PVALUE value | string value );
Parameters
value
A PVALUE (dword) or string specifying a structured parameter or string value to test.
Return Value
A boolean as TRUE (1) or FALSE (0) depending on the content of value.
Remarks
The value is tested for: zero, empty string , “(default)”, implied (PT_IMPLIED), “(mixed)”, or mixed (PT_MIXED) in which case the return value is FALSE. Any other value returns TRUE. This function differs from SGMLIsImplied in that the test is for data being available, not that the data is explicitly implied.
