DTDCreateObject Function

Overview

The DTDCreateObject function creates a basic DTD object.

Syntax/Parameters

Syntax

handle = DTDCreateObject ( [int type] );

Parameters

type

An optional int specifying a predefined type to load. If the type is omitted, an empty DTD Object is created.

schema

An optional string specifying a schema file to load. †

Return Value

A handle to a DTD object or NULL_HANDLE on failure. Use the GetLastError to retrieve a formatted error code.

Remarks

Normally a DTD object is created and included with an SGML or related object. This function allows an independent DTD to be created and then added to other objects.

When DTD handles are required, in many cases a DTD handle or a handle of a object containing a DTD object may be used.
