Chapter Eleven — SGML Functions (continued)
Overview
The HTMLHeaderOpen function scans a provided HTML file as a filename or a Mapped Text Object, loads certain characteristics and returns a handle to an HTML Header Object.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
handle = HTMLHeaderOpen ( handle hObject | string filename );
Parameters
hObject
A handle to a Mapped Text or Edit Object. Or,
filename
A string to a filename to open and map to access the header.
Return Value
Returns an handle to an HTML Header Object or NULL_HANDLE on error. Use the GetLastError function to retrieve a formatted error code.
The handle should be closed using the CloseHandle function when it is no longer required.
Remarks
The handle value is used to access or update header components. The contents of the header include:
HTML DTD (Document Type Definition)
Title of the Document
HTML Meta Information
Links to Related Documents (not hypertext links)
CSS Style Sheet Data and Links
Some Scripts (scripts can appear anywhere in a document)
Not all information is loaded during the open and may be loaded on execution of a specific function.
