Chapter Eleven — SGML Functions (continued)
Overview
The iXBRLCreateObject function maps a file or object for all Inline XBRL components and readies the object for reading or writing iXBRL.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
handle = iXBRLCreateObject ( string filename | handle hObject );
Parameters
filename
A string to a qualified path and filename. Or,
hObject
A handle to an SGML, Edit or Mapped Text Object.
Return Value
Returns a handle to an Inline XBRL Object or NULL_HANDLE on failure. Use the GetLastError function to retrieve error information. When processing has been completed, the script should use the CloseHandle function to discard the handle.
Remarks
The source file DTD must be set to iXBRL prior to using this function.
