Chapter Thirteen — Collaboration Functions (continued)
Overview
The GetTaskCount returns the number of tasks for a specific location or for all locations within the collaboration store.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
int = GetTaskCount ( [int location] );
Parameters
location
An optional int that specifies the location to get the task count. If omitted (or zero), all tasks are counted. See Locations Codes at start of the Section 13.1 Introduction to Collaboration Functions section.
Return Value
An int as the count of the tasks for the specified location or all locations. On error the return value will be -1. Use the GetLastError function to retrieve a formatted error code.
Remarks
When getting a task count for locations CM_LOCATION_PROJECT and CM_LOCATION_PROJECT_ENTRY, the count is dependent on the project that is open. This also applies to default or CM_LOCATION_ALL.
