Chapter Eighteen — DataView Integration (continued)
Overview
The DataViewGetClassType function returns the class type (window type) for the view.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
dword = DataViewGetClassType ( handle hView );
Parameters
hView
A handle to either a Data View Object or to a window that employs Data View.
Return Value
Returns a dword containing the window type or 0x00000000 on failure. Use the GetLastError function to retrieve error information.
Remarks
The type code is a compound bitwise structure containing information about the view including the view type, the underlying view, and the type of interchanges that are accepted. See Appendix A — Legato SDK Standard Definitions for a list if currently EDX_TYPE_ supported types.
