Chapter Five — General Functions (continued)
Overview
The Swap16Word function swaps the bytes of a 16-bit word. This can be used to convert from little-endian to big-endian and vice versa.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
word = Swap16Word ( word data );
Parameters
data
A word or short to be converted. Larger values such as dword or int will be truncated.
Return Value
Returns a word with the bytes swapped.
Remarks
This function can be used to interface with data and formats that are not Intel compatible.
