Overview
The GetUNCLabelOnly function retrieves a drive’s share volume label. It does not return the UNC path.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
string = GetUNCLabelOnly ( string path );
Parameters
path
A string containing a qualified path.
Return Value
Returns a string containing the share label of the drive or an empty string on failure. Use the GetLastError function to retrieve error information.
Remarks
The GetUNCLabel function will return the label of both local drives and mapped network drives. The volume can be empty. To get the share label and the UNC path, use the GetUNCLabel function.
