Overview
The GetVolumeLabel function retrieves a drive’s volume label.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
string = GetVolumeLabel ( string path );
Parameters
path
A string containing a qualified path.
Return Value
Returns a string containing the volume label of the drive or an empty string on failure. Use the GetLastError function to retrieve error information.
Remarks
The GetVolumeLabel function will return the volume label of both local drives and mapped network drives. The volume can be empty.
