Chapter Nine — Dialog Functions (continued)
Overview
The BrowseAddSaveScope sets a path scope or limitation on any browse operation that saves or selects a path as a destination.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
int = BrowseAddSaveScope ( string path ) ;
Parameters
path
A string specifying the path to add to the scoping list. If an empty string is provided, all paths are removed from the scope list. The value can contain substitution values.
Return Value
Returns an int as ERROR_NONE or a formatted error code on failure.
Remarks
Setting a scope prevents devices or shares from appearing on dialogs while checking the entered values against the scope list. By default, once a scope is set, all other paths are not allowed.
The function allows up to 10 paths to be included in the scope with a total of 2048 bytes of path data.
The function does not check for bad path names.
