Overview
The ClipboardSetCSV sets Comma Separate Values (CSV, aka comma delimited data) data onto the Windows clipboard via a Clipboard Object.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
int = ClipboardSetCSV ( handle hClipboard,
string data | string data[][] | handle hPool
);
Parameters
hClipboard
A handle to a Clipboard Object.
data
A string containing text to place on the clipboard in CSV format, or, a string table containing strings of data to place on the clipboard. Or,
hPool
A handle to a String Pool Object containing the text to place on the clipboard.
Return Value
Returns an int value as ERROR_NONE or a formatted error code.
Remarks
When posting data specifically for Excel, place only CSV to the clipboard. Excel generally accepts CSV as the default. If additional compatible formats are placed on the clipboard, Excel will generally require the user to perform a paste special operation to select the appropriate format.
The data should be properly formatted.
