Chapter Eighteen — DataView Integration (continued)
Overview
The DataViewGetTabName function returns the name of a Data View tab.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
string = DataViewGetTabName ( handle hView, [int index] );
Parameters
hView
A handle to either a Data View Object or to a window that employs Data View.
index
An optional zero-based int specifying the tab index or sheet position. If omitted or -1, the sheet associated with the handle’s view is used.
Return Value
Returns a string containing the tab name or an empty string on failure. Use the GetLastError function to retrieve error information.
Remarks
Each tab must have a tab name. For template style views, programmers are cautioned regarding accessing tabs via the name since it is possible from version to version of the underlying application for the names to change.
