DataViewSetRowDataWord Function
Overview
The DataViewSetRowDataWord function sets the 32-bit caller data word for a specific row.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
int = DataViewSetRowDataWord ( handle object, int index, dword data );
Parameters
object
A handle to either a Data View Object or to a window that employs Data View.
index
An int specifying a zero-based row index.
data
A dword to set for the row.
Return Value
Returns an int as ERROR_NONE or a formatted error code.
Remarks
The caller data word is a 32-bit value that can be used by programs to control certain information pertaining to a specific row. The raw Data View window does not use this value. However, many views built on Data View employ this value. Each specific view uses various bits to indicate conditions and editing data. Programmers are cautioned to not overwrite caller data for specific views since it may adversely affect those views’ performances.
This function is not under the control of the transaction manager and cannot be undone.
