Overview
The GetPreferenceFile function returns the filename and path for the settings file. Note that the setting files can be a template in the application executable folder or located in the users application data area.

string = GetPreferenceFile ( );
Parameters

Return Value
A string containing the filename and path or empty on failure. Use the GetLastError to retrieve a formatted error code. The GetLastError function can also be used to get a flag indicating TRUE if the file is from the template area.
Remarks
Applications should refrain from treating the returned file as an INI file. The application loads and saves to this file on a selective basis. Changing the content of the file while the application is running will not result in a setting being changed. Further, if the settings are saved by the user, the changes added will be overwritten.
