On January 30th, the SEC made unannounced and unexpected changes to the XML technical specifications for Form SHO and SCHEDULE 13D/G. A new patch for the GoFiler Suite is available to support these changes.
To update your application to version 5.25b Patch B, follow the steps below:
- Close the application.
- Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the application installation directory. This is usually located in C:\Program Files\ if running a 64-bit version of the software. Your installation directory may be located within the C:\Program Files (x86) directory instead.
- Double-click on the Updater.exe file. Please note that this file contains the name of the application and will vary depending on which application you are running. For example, the updater for GoFiler Complete is GoFiler_Updater.exe.
- Press the Yes button to force the application to update.
After following these steps, you can check the About dialog, which should list version 5.25b with “Patch B” beside particular DLLs.
