Step One: Choose your base software.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. GoFiler contains tools to check your data for compliance with the SEC Form D technical specification and to ensure required data has been entered into your submission. You can also proof your filing to review your answers for accuracy before filing.

GoFiler can help you create Form D submissions for any reporting case. If you have no sales compensations to report, you can leave all of Section 12 blank in the software. If you have compensations but the recipient does not have a CRD Number, Broker/Dealer, or Broker/Dealer CRD Number, you can enter the information for the recipient but enter NONE for those fields.

Only certain functions in the software, such as those that submit filings to EDGAR Next or verify data against an SEC database, require a connection to the internet. With GoFiler, you can work offline at any time and connect only when necessary.

Yes! GoFiler has one low annual price but allows submissions for an unlimited number of entities. If a filing has more than one issuer, you can add issuers as needed. If you prepare filings for multiple issuers, you can create filings for each and even work on multiple filings at the same time.

Yes. For issuers, GoFiler can store data in a secure CIK library for quick retrieval. This library can be shared across users and across forms. For other lists (like related persons, sales compensation, and signatures) you can use our powerful import tools to quickly add data from external databases or spreadsheets.
