On December 19th, the Electronic Data Gathering, Analysis, and Retrieval (EDGAR) system was updated to Release 22.4. The system now supports the 2022Q4 version of the Executive Compensation Disclosure (ECD) and Document and Entity Information (DEI) taxonomies. These taxonomies provide the tagging elements for disclosures associated with the SEC’s releases on Pay Versus Performance and Listing Standards for Recovery of Erroneously Awarded Compensation.
As with compatibility requirements for previous versions, filings that use the 2022Q4 version of the ECD taxonomy or DEI taxonomy are also required to use the 2022 version of all other taxonomies within the same submission. The SEC strongly encourages issuers to use the most recent version of taxonomy releases for their eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) filings to benefit from the most current tags related to new accounting standards, disclosure requirements, and other enhancements.
For detailed information, including Release Notes and a complete listing of supported standard taxonomies, visit the SEC’s website.
The GoFiler Family of products was updated to version 5.17a, which includes these taxonomy changes. We recommend filers update their software. See the product release notes for more information.
