Version 5.0b of all applications in the GoFiler Suite has been released. This release contains a number of new features, including an XDX Setup and Cover Page Tagging wizard, new tools for managing and exploring Include-Text fields and a new function to toggle the visibility of XDX markers. Additionally, improvements were made to iXBRL to remove inline XBRL tagging and to highlight inline XBRL facts when proofing. Improvement to Page View and Form C were also made.

Version 5.0a of all applications in the GoFiler Suite has been released. This release corresponds to EDGAR Release 19.2 and contains a number of improvements to XDX, a new edit window type for editing CSV and structured data sheets, a new look for the icons and buttons of the user interface, and a large underlying change to HTML editing. Additionally, this version contains support for the IFRS 2019 and DEI 2019 taxonomies.

Version 4.26b of all applications in the GoFiler Suite has been released. This release corresponds to EDGAR Release 19.1.1 and contains a number of improvements to Form N-CEN View and Form N-PORT View. Additionally, this version contains new functions for XDX, support for the XBRL Previewer for EDGAR 19.1.1, and improvements to some general EDGAR tools.

The next release of GoFiler, version 4.26b, has been scheduled for release on Friday, March 29. Please note that this deviates from our normal update schedule. This change has been made to ensure that users will have uninterrupted access to all of the filing tools should they require the updates for EDGAR 19.1.1, which is due for release by the SEC on April 1.

Version 4.26a of all applications in the GoFiler Suite has been released. This release corresponds to EDGAR Release 19.1 and contains a number of improvements to Form N-CEN View, general EDGAR forms, and XBRL. Additionally, this version contains support for the US GAAP 2019 taxonomy.

Version 4.25d of all applications in the GoFiler Suite has been released. This release contains a number of improvements to Form N-CEN View, general EDGAR forms, the Export XBRL to Excel function and to XDX and iXBRL. Additionally, improvements were made to the Virtual File Cloud browser feature, which can now be enabled via the application preferences.

Version 4.25c of all applications in the GoFiler Suite has been released. This release contains a number of improvements to Form N-CEN View, Form SDR View and Form ABS-EE View. Additionally, improvements and corrections were made to Page View and to general file recovery across all software platforms.

Version 4.25b of all applications in the GoFiler Suite has been released. This release brings Form ATS-N out of beta with all functionality completed. It also contains the new XBRL validation required by the EDGAR Filer Manual as well as a number of corrections and improvements to Page View and Form N-CEN View.

Version 4.24b of all applications in the GoFiler Suite has been released. This release contains a number of corrections and improvements to the XBRL View and to various EDGAR form views. Additionally, simple HTML proofing is now available as a beta feature for the N-PORT forms.

Starting as early as next month, accelerated filers will need to comply with new hyperlinking rules adopted by the SEC earlier this year. These form amendments now require companies who file registration statements or reports subject to the exhibit requirements under Item 601 of Regulation S-K or who file Forms F-10 or F-20 to include a hyperlink to each exhibit listed in the filing’s exhibit index. This is intended to make it simpler for investors and other interested parties to locate the exhibits included or referenced in a filing.

GoFiler supports a lot of user customization to allow it to meet your exact needs. One of the primary means of customizing the software is through the use of templates. The various templates used by the application can be altered to override or to add to existing functionality. Templates can also provide you with the exact look and feel you want when creating new documents, setting up projects, and publishing reviewer’s proofs.

As the deadline for the first Form N-MFP1 filing draws closer, it’s important to know what your options are for working with this new type of filing. As with Form N-MFP, the SEC is not providing any editing software so filers are essentially on their own to find a solution for creating and editing this form.
