XBRL US Announces Webinar: SEC Rule – Tailored Shareholder Reports for Mutual Funds and ETFs

XBRL US will host a virtual conference to discuss the SEC’s final rule for Tailored Shareholder Reports for Mutual Funds and Exchange-Traded Funds; Fee Information in Investment Company Advertisements. The rule introduces new requirements for annual and semi-annual shareholder reports provided by mutual funds and exchange-traded funds to highlight key information for shareholders. Under the rule, funds are required to tag their reports to shareholders using Inline XBRL, which yields machine-readable data that retail investors and other market participants may use to access and evaluate investments more efficiently. {expires: 2024-05-16}

The event will feature the following discussions and topics:

  • structured data requirements of the rule
  • expected changes in fund workflow
  • steps to prepare a Tailored Shareholder Report in structured, machine-readable format

The 90-minute conference will take place on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, beginning at 3:00 p.m. EDT. The event is free for the public to attend but registration is required.

Event speakers will include the following industry experts:

  • Scott Theis, CEO, Novaworks LLC, and Chair, XBRL US Domain Steering Committee
  • Nikkyann Berteau, Disclosure Product Analyst, Broadridge Financial Solutions, Inc.
  • Michael Boyle, XBRL Manager, Donnelley Financial Solutions (DFIN)
