In March 2025, SEC final rules required electronic filing, submission, or posting of certain forms, filings, and other submissions that broker-dealers, national securities exchanges, national securities associations, clearing agencies, security-based swap dealers, and major security-based swap participants make with the SEC.
Under the rule, clearing agencies now must file Form CA-1 applications and amendments through the EDGAR system, partially in Inline XBRL, a structured, machine-readable data format. The draft 2026Q3 Self-Regulatory Organizations (SRO) taxonomy includes the new elements needed for exchanges to tag Form CA-1.
To view the draft 2026Q3 SRO taxonomy Form CA-1 and files, please visit the Current Draft Taxonomy and Schema Files webpage on the SEC’s website. Interested parties may submit technical feedback to StructuredData@sec.gov through 4 p.m. Eastern, March 31, 2026, with “Draft of 2026Q3 SRO Taxonomy” as the subject. The SEC will make the feedback received publicly available on the Draft Taxonomy Technical Feedback page.
