Version 6.5c of GoFiler has been released. This version contains changes and improvements for XBRL View/XDX and general EDGAR tools as well as corrections for Form 24F-2 and Section 16.
Please use the Check for Updates function to update your software to the latest version.
What’s in the Release
General Items
– The application will now use a sub directory within the Novaworks application data folder to store logs.
Text View/ASCII
– Fixed an issue where the caret could occasionally be shown in the Information View.
XDX
– Added consistency check for shares facts to ensure reports use the same scaling and precision for most shares facts.
SEC Taxonomy Changes and Updates
– Added a missing DQC calculation files needed to detect duplicate calculations.
General EDGAR Updates
– Added new functions to view information about the current filer on the EDGAR system.
– Added a validation warning if SROS has NONE selected and the filer name, any coregistrant’s name, or any series name indicates the company is an Exchange Traded Fund
– The return copy? check box has been removed.
– Added a text filter to the “Retrieve Series/Class” dialog.
– Corrected an issue that prevented the Zip code field from properly being read after upgrading to the latest library version.
– Changed the user token expiration date to UTC and the user token and filer token expiration dates to indicate the time is UTC.
Form 13F and SHO Updates
– The return copy check box has been removed.
Form 17-H
Form 24F-2
– Corrected a typo in the submission type field on the summary page.
– The “Total Due” field will now display a breakdown of all the values for Item 7 in the filing.
– The fee values calculated by the software for items 5(viii), 6 and 7 are now editable.
Form C
– The return copy check box has been removed.
Form D Updates
– The return copy check box has been removed.
N-CR Updates
– The return copy check box has been removed.
N-PORT Updates

N-PX Updates

SCHEDULE 13D/G Updates
– The Item 1(c) address on SCHEDULE 13D will now display the full name of the country.
Section 16 Updates
– Corrected an issue that prevented the Verify CIKs function from working properly when there are multiple reporting owners and the EDGAR API is enabled.
– The return copy check box has been removed.
Technical Notes (Legato)
– Introduced functionality to the XBRL Model to support xBRL-CSV.
