SEC Releases Staff Guidance for ABS Issuers

On February 9, 2016, SEC staff released a guide for issuers of Asset-Backed Securities to help issuers understand the procedures for using EDGAR. The guide answers questions about filing a 424H prospectus, filing Form ABS-15G, and filing other forms that may be an initial filing for an ABS issuing entity.

While the guide is not a rule, regulation, or statement of the Securities and Exchange Commission (and the SEC has neither approved nor disapproved the information contained within it), the guide does provide answers to questions about how ABS issuers can use EDGAR to comply with SEC regulations.
