The VIP Data Sets provide the text and numeric information drawn from Forms N-3, N-4, and N-6 (the registration forms for variable annuity contracts and contracts offering Index-Linked Options and/or Fixed Options subject to a contract adjustment) filed with the SEC in eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL). The current Fedwire Application Interface Manual (FAIM) format now has a sunset date of July 13, 2025. On February 25th, the SEC adopted rules under the Securities Exchange Act to extend by one year the compliance dates for Rule 17ad-22(e)(18)(iv)(A) and (B) (collectively known as the Trade Submission Requirement). The Trade Submission Requirement is designed both to mitigate the spread of risk to US Treasury securities covered clearing agencies (CCAs) and to bring the benefits of central clearing to more transactions involving US Treasury securities. On February 11th, the SEC released a group of Compliance and Disclosure Interpretations (C&DIs), which comprises the Division's interpretations of Exchange Act Sections 13(d) and 13(g), Regulation 13D-G beneficial ownership reporting and related filing of Schedules 13D and 13G. These C&DIs replace the “Regulations 13D and 13G and Schedules Thereunder” interpretations in the July 1997 Manual of Publicly Available Telephone Interpretations. On February 7th, the SEC provided a temporary exemption from both compliance with Rule 13f-2 under the Securities Exchange Act and reporting on Form SHO. As a result of the exemption, filings on initial Form SHO reports from institutional investment managers that meet or exceed certain specified thresholds will be due by February 17, 2026, for the January 2026 reporting period. The effective date for Rule 13f-2 and Form SHO was January 2, 2024, and the compliance date for the rule and form was January 2, 2025, with initial Form SHO filings originally due by February 14, 2025.
